  2. Although I completely agree, I am sure there are courts with professionals less tainted. I have spoken at length with a judge practicing in a rural district who stated some 85% of his cases were self-represented. He loved the hands on caring he could contribute to his community. You are likely addressing the generally more overcrowded, stressed scenarios in our big cities, where the average counsel’s bread and butter is being challenged by those who have been left no choice but self-represent. Negativism is on the rise. This leads to collusion and corruption. All systems are challenged.
